Choose Quality When Buying Doors and Windows

July 05, 2017

Many types of doors and windows are out on the market today, but not all of these are of top quality. You need to determine which ones work for your home’s design and will last long. Knowing the pros and cons allows you to find the windows or whatever product with good value for money.

Doors and Windows

Choosing a Door

One of the things to consider when choosing a door is how much weather exposure it will get, whether it is rain or snow. You have a handful of options when it comes to material, such as steel, wood, and composite and fiberglass. All of these have their pros and cons; steel is one of the most durable, but wood’s classic and traditional appeal are pluses for homeowners. Fiberglass and composite require less maintenance but may need resealing in harsh weather.

If you’re looking for a first-rate contractor for doors in the neighborhood, Renewal by Andersen® of Milwaukee provides quality replacement products that aren’t only aesthetically pleasing but are long-lasting as well. We install Provia® doors that are top-notch whether you use it for the entry way or the patio. We use our exclusive Fibrex® material, which is superior in strength and doesn’t easily chip, crack, or drop in energy efficiency.

Choosing Replacement Windows

The windows are an important part of your house as they are one of the first few things that people will see from the outside. They are not only there for aesthetic purposes, but will also improve the energy efficiency of your home and will let you control the amount of light and air that enters a room.

As a trusted windows contractor in our area, we offer a variety of products that suit different needs such as picture, double hung, sliding and a specialty line for those who want a customized product. The Fibrex material we use outlasts and outperforms even the best vinyl window.

Hear From Our Customers

Jason and Brett did an awesome job installing our doors. We had separate installers a month earlier for our windows who also did a fantastic job. They were all very professional and cleaned up almost better than the area looked before the installation! Since these were both jobs that took more than one day the installers were great at keeping us informed on the status of where the project was at along the way.

I cant express how happy we are with choosing Andersen for our window installation. Our sales representative was knowledgeable with product and answered any questions we had without hesitation. I did also fill out a survey that was sent in an email, but sadly I failed to personally name the two gentlemen that performed the actual installation. Barrett and Francisco were our guys, and let me tell you, they were outstanding!!! They did Excellent work and were professional as well as efficient and made this a smooth, none evasive process for us. I strongly recommend this company and these installers to anyone in need of windows!!! My husband and I could not be more pleased we chose Andersen for replacing our windows!!!

This was a great crew to work with. Both the original install manager we worked with (Jay) and the install team (Daniel, Mason, Tony, Ethan, and Jose). Everyone was very professional and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and the end result on the house is great. In 3 days they replaced an old bay window with a new bay window, a set of french doors on the patio with a sliding patio door, and our old front door with a new front door and storm door.
