June 28th and 29th – Strawberry Fest Cedarburg
CEDARBURG’S STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PROMISES A “RECORD” YEAR
Festival offers everything from the humble strawberry to a Guinness World Record!
Craving a weekend of the most luscious summer fruit? Come celebrate Cedarburg’s 29th Annual Strawberry Festival, sponsored by BMO Harris Bank, June 28 & 29, 2014. More than 100,000 people traveled to Cedarburg for Strawberry Festival last year, to pay homage to the bold and colorful strawberry and enjoy some of the most decadent homegrown strawberries in the area. This festival is a favorite of many for a delicious, free, family-oriented weekend sure to entertain fest-goers of all ages.
Want the early scoop on one of the most delicious entries to Guinness World Records? Since 1914, Kemps has been delighting families throughout the upper Midwest with wholesome and delicious dairy products. In honor of the company’s 100th Anniversary, Kemps of Cedarburg will be partnering with Port Washington State Bank and Strawberry Festival to break a Guinness World Record of the Largest Scoop of Ice Cream on Saturday, June 28th. The goal is to create a 2,000 pound scoop of strawberry ice cream. The sweetest news – to qualify, the entire scoop of ice cream needs to be consumed to be considered a world record….sounds like a job for thousands of hungry fest-goers!
